1080p Vs 1440p

1080p Vs 1440p Ok well 29in 1080p or 27in 1440p my GPU may not handle 1440p on ultra but it will handle 1080p on ultra if you have the R9 290x that is listed on your profile you can handily play games at good frame rates at 1440p with maxed settings you will dip below 60fps from time to time but the majority will be at 60 or higher

The picture quality improvement from 1080p to 1440p is big Better than 1440p to 4k what is almost not noticeable unless you play on screens larger 30 I would always prefer 1440p over 1080p but 60fps at 1080p is better than 30fps at 1440p Graphic quality settings wise 1080p at 60fps on Very high is better than 60 fps at 1440p on medium or low 33 3 performance difference at highest quality between 1080p and 1440p on Borderlands 3 benchmark My Results i9 9900KS MSI RTX2080Ti Gaming X 32GB DDR4 4000 RAM NVidia 441 66 driver everything at stock speed

Add my vote for 1440p Pixel density at that resolution on a 27 is higher than 1080p on a 24 As far as 1080p content being blurry that s a risk but any of that would hypothetically be in motion and thus less noticeable than static imagery on desktop Any modern display adapter can push desktop 1440p just fine The very closest I d sit is 0 8X the diagonal for a 2560x1440 panel ultra wide is slightly different A 34 1440p panel is roughly the same HEIGHT as a 27 2560x1440 panel so I d still sit the SAME distance away About two feet Why is it 1080p at 24 vs 1440p at 32 That s a pretty big difference in price and monitor Other

1440p is great for 27 32 range Im running 32 for photo editing I personally would take either a 144Hz 24 1080p IPS or a 75 120Hz 27 32 1440p IPS display As already mentioned the GPU load for 1440p is going to be substantial over 1080p My 290 does its best but AAA titles are out of the question Monitors are a lengthy investment and will see numerous upgrades in its life 1440p is a nice resolution for 27 and 27 is a good size screen A good 27 1440p monitor will display games in 1080p fine if you need to but you probably won t feel the need as is with my old Acer xb270hu 1440p monitor 1440p is not a huge stretch above 1080p either

1080p isn t going away anytime soon but even midrange hardware is 1440p capable these days and I d expect that trend to continue improve as time goes on Do you have preferred local websites PCPP for Denmark only has a few options NewEgg International with relatively high shipping and CDON dk which doesn t yield any results remotely Honestly I hear people talk about how 1440p should always be 27 and how 1080p should always be 24 or else it will look ugly And I just don t agree But it s subjective I do enjoy the higher resolution for more detail though between 24 1080p and 27 1440p But the difference will depend more on panel type and refresh rate
