GTA IV s story was long Around 80 missions but most of the missions were repetitive 1 3 of the missions could have been turned into encounters after the story Playboy X and Dwayne McReary feud etc GTA V has 69 story missions around 55 full fledged mostly unique missions We have to wait 2 weeks before GTA Online anyway I plan on taking my time and making the story last me the entire 2 weeks As for the length personally I felt GTA IV dragged on too long and felt like a chore towards the end RDR was the perfect length So if GTA V s story is a similar length I ll be satisfied with that
GTA III and Vice City had the right length San Andreas was long but it was also epic changing drastically as you go to different locations IV was only in Liberty City and the story was the same throughout Niko needs money people keep messing with his cousin and he s looking for someone GTA IV and VCS are the only two GTA s that I didn t Shorter if anything GTA IV s story was too long there needs to be way more side missions a la Vice City asset missions whatever But the story itself in GTA IV dragged starting when the game moved to Alderney The episodes have good story length imo I think there is such a thing as a game that s too long and that s GTA IV as well as RDR

There has been a lot of talk about about the length of GTA V and the number of missions Some people are saying it will be long and some think it will be too short I would like to state my opinion and make a prediction based on the info we have now Rockstar said that the story will center around 5 6 main Heists I will use 6 as my number As a kid i loved playing EFLC i played IV before EFLC but TLAD was the first GTA campaign i completed possibly due to its short length i got instantly hooked on the story and characters and after i beat it i wanted more i soon completed TBOGT and IV after although i now wish that TLAD s campaign was as long as IV s i do think that its short length may have
