Are there any alternatives to downloading the reMarkable desktop app in order to share files or do a screen share I just got a reMarkable 2 and love the device but cannot download any software in our corporate environment Has anyone found workarounds to use the device on a corporate network and or device I appreciate any advice I m trying to install the Desktop Companion App but the install fails with this error Installing on Windows 11 running as admin Eventviewer doesnt say anything useful Installing to the default folder Would be very grateful for any help

I was curious about this too when I noticed that there wasn t a chocolatey package for the remarkable app Poking at the installer I discovered that it is based on IFW which I assume is this Qt Installer Framework I have a bit of a problem I use my Remarkable Tablet to grade papers love it But I want to upload and export documents from my work computer Google drive is a fine solution but I d rather have something like the desktop app But IT won t let me put the app on my work computer Is there a solution Any web based solutions anyone has tried
After enabling these overrides the app works Our organization s C level personnel have been badgering tech support for the desktop app so they can use their tablets with their company issued workstations We have 1 known good installation of version 3 0 2 and 3 failed installations of 3 4 0 They all behave the same they will not open Right click on the app from your Start Menu and Run as administrator Super unsecure fix But it gets the Remarkable desktop app running Most of the time Sometimes it still freezes and crashes usually when syncing large amounts of files But with enough persistence it eventually updates everything and has few issues

Are there any usable remarkable desktop app including typed text support for Linux Ubuntu 23 The 2 x version worked like a charm but i cannot manage to run the 3 x version Update 1 I found a working solution as suggested in the comments I tried running the latest exe with wine but it gave an error I needed to install the listed dependencies and some Had the same problem and had to remove remarkable from the registry Start regedit and remove Computer HKEY CURRENT USER SOFTWARE remarkable This is in additions of removal of the folders as described in earlier posts After that you can re install the app and it asks you for the code again This did it for me
